When a stump is ground, it is reduced to ground level (grade) and no longer visible above the surface. The underground root system remains in place and will naturally decompose over time.

For most residential, agricultural, and recreational uses, stump grinding is an effective and cost-efficient solution. However, if the area will be used for a building pad, foundation, driveway, or other construction project, complete stump and root removal may be necessary to prevent future settling. 

In most cases, the mulch is left on-site after the forestry mulching process is complete. The shredded vegetation, brush, and trees form a natural layer of organic material that gradually decomposes over time, returning nutrients to the soil and helping reduce erosion. If desired, the mulch can be piled into burn piles; however, this requires additional machine time and labor, which increases the project cost. Up to 2.5 acres with our experience.  The amount of land that can be cleared in a day depends on several factors, including the size and density of the vegetation, terrain conditions, accessibility, and project goals.

As a general guideline, a forestry mulcher can typically clear 1 to 2.5 acres per day.

• Light to moderate brush and undergrowth: Up to 2.5 acres per day may be possible under favorable conditions.
• Dense brush and thick vegetation: Production is often closer to 1.5 to 2 acres per day.
• Larger trees and heavier vegetation: Production may be reduced to approximately 1 to 1.5 acres per day, depending on tree size and density.
• Steep, wet, rocky, or difficult terrain: Clearing rates may be lower due to operating conditions.

Yes. FaithWorks Forestry Mulching is required to collect and remit applicable Texas sales tax on qualifying services. Sales tax will be clearly shown as a separate line item on all estimates and invoices so you can see exactly how it is calculated.

Your deposit is applied directly toward the final project cost and is not an additional fee. The remaining balance is due according to the terms outlined in your estimate and invoice.
